Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your personal data when you visit grytsenko.dev (the "Site"). The Site is operated by Dmytro Grytsenko, based in Ukraine, who is the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR.
Individual apps have their own privacy policies, because they handle data differently from this website. You'll find each one linked from its app page.
The short version
This is a static website. There is no account system, no advertising network and no cross-site tracking. The Site sets no cookies of its own. If you email me, I keep the email — that's the extent of it.
What data is collected
Server logs
The Site is served by a static hosting provider. Like every web server, it records technical information for each request: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, referring page and user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the service running, diagnose faults and defend against abuse such as denial-of- service attacks.
Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating and securing the Site. Logs are retained by the hosting provider for a short, rolling period and are not used to build a profile of you.
Email correspondence
If you write to support@grytsenko.dev, I receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message. I use it only to reply and to carry out any work we agree on.
Legal basis: steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract, or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); otherwise legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Business correspondence is kept while the enquiry or engagement is live and afterwards only as long as tax and accounting rules require.
What is not collected
- No advertising or tracking cookies, and no cookie banner because none are needed.
- No third-party analytics, heatmaps or session recording.
- No social media pixels or embedded trackers.
- No fingerprinting, and no sale or sharing of personal data with data brokers.
The only browser storage the Site uses is a single localStorage
entry named theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or
dark colour scheme. It never leaves your device, contains no identifier, and
clearing your browser data removes it.
Who else is involved
I keep the list of third parties as short as possible. The ones that necessarily touch your data are:
| Recipient | Purpose | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Static hosting provider | Serving the Site and its assets | IP address, request metadata |
| Email provider | Receiving and storing correspondence | Your email address and message content |
These providers act as processors on my behalf under written terms. Where they process data outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
Your rights
If the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to you, you have the right to:
- ask what personal data I hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased where there is no overriding reason to keep it;
- restrict or object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- receive data you provided in a portable, machine-readable format;
- lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these, email support@grytsenko.dev. I'll respond within one month. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are in California
I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and I have not done so in the preceding twelve months. You may still request disclosure or deletion of personal information using the email address above, and you will not be discriminated against for doing so.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16 and I do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent me personal data, contact me and I will delete it.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Correspondence is stored in an account protected by a strong, unique password and two-factor authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please don't send passwords, payment card numbers or other secrets by email.
Links to other sites
Pages here may link to the App Store, GitHub or other external services. Once you follow such a link, that provider's own privacy policy applies — I have no control over what they collect.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be summarised at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
